Jim Culp is a northern California boy, born in Chico, grew up in the north valley and attended Butte College, and CSU, Sacramento with a Bachelors degree in Government and International Relations. After graduation, Jim spent seven years as an intelligence officer in the US Air Force. Jim did his graduate work at Liberty University and Southwest Bible Seminary.

Jim married Annie in 1993, who works at a substitute teacher and rocks the Bass guitar on Sundays. Jim and Annie have three children, Daniel, Ben and Kate. The Culp family love to travel and do outdoor sports together, especially rock climbing. Jim's favorite things are USC football, U2's music and Crazy Taco's carne asada burritos. Jim loves being a pastor and especially to be with Orchard Church, serving a community he so passionately loves.
