Wilderness Experience is a program dedicated to supporting youth, grades
6-12, to grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. W.E. gives teens an
opportunity to experience God in His creation as we journey together out of
Chico on exciting wilderness adventures. For us, the summer consists of
four extended camping trips on which we travel to and explore new places.
This allows ample time for students to wrestle with their own understanding
of God as well as their new life and value found in Christ. Our adventures
are continued throughout the school year on day trips once a month.
Students are also encouraged to maintain and grow in their relationship with
God throughout the year at weekly youth groups. High School students meet
on Tuesdays and Junior High School students meet on Thursdays. Both groups
meet at the church office between the hours of 3:30 and 5:30 pm on their
respective days.
